Pointless Theatre

Pointless Theatre Co. creates bold, visceral, and affordable spectacles that gleefully smash the traditional boundaries between puppetry, theatre, dance, music, and the visual arts.

Pointless Theatre was founded in the summer of 2009 by Patti Kalil and Matt Reckeweg, as a group dedicated to performing innovative and exuberant puppet theatre. After winning awards at the Capital Fringe Festival for “The Sleeping Beauty: A Puppet Ballet” and “Hugo Ball: A Super Spectacular Dada Adventure”, we began producing our original puppet spectacles as a resident company at the Mead Theatre Lab at Flashpoint. We incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation in 2012 and won the Helen Hayes John Aniello Award for Outstanding Emerging Theatre Company in 2014. With the closing of Flashpoint in 2017, we are excited to be presenting our work at DanceLoft on 14.
