Melissa is a graduate from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy’s Musical Theatre Integrated Program and has over 10 years of voice and performance experience. She has been performing steadily in New York Theatre (Off-Off Broadway), including at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre and Times Square Arts Center. Most recently, she was a soloist at CloseUp Cabaret: NYC Throwback at a popular West Village venue. Melissa’s training is grounded in voice science and health. Her lessons are specifically tailored to meet each individual singer’s needs and goals. Melissa received her Level 1 certification in Somatic Voicework ™: The Lovetri Method under Broadway voice teacher Jeannette LoVetri and is actively pursuing certification in all levels. This system of pedagogy draws from classical vocal pedagogy as well as dance, acting, speech pathology, yoga, and Alexander Technique ™. Melissa is currently attending a vocal pedagogy course at Mannes College of Music to continue her knowledge of the science and art of singing.
